Low Vibration Stopping Method for the Compressor Driving Motor

This paper proposes a low vibration stopping method by switching between the free-run and short-circuit braking modes of compressor. Vibrations are generated bouncing rotor caused load torque fluctuations. The proposed suppresses motor during suction process, thereby preventing generation large torque. In order to stop switches from mode at top dead center, which is starting point process. Furthermore, inrush current suppressed using hysteresis controller. vibrations evaluated under four pressure conditions conventional methods. results show that, achieves more than 50% reduction in amplitudes all conditions. Notably, reduces amplitude 71% high-pressure condition.
